IUOE Local 103 represents heavy equipment operators in the field as well as in stationary operations.

Operating Engineers work in a variety of job classifications in highway and building construction,mining,tollways,slag,landscaping,power plants,refineries,railroads,quarries,plants that produce rock,sand and gravel.logging and utility work such as gas,water,and sewer excavation.

Established in 1902, the membership currently stands at approximately 3,800 strong and covers  33 counties in the state of Indiana. Benefits include employment opportunities, overtime pay, health and welfare benefits and a pension  plan.
