Local 668 members handle electrical construction and installation for business, industry, education, and telecommunications work.


This year they are on the job at several sites on the Purdue campus including P3 Meredith Hall and 3rd Street , the STEM,ABE,Potter Hall, State Farm now Purdue Renovation,Jeschke Hall, West Lafayette High School,Harrison High School,Battle Ground Middle School,McCutheon High School, Lafayette Jefferson High School and Twin Lakes School Hospital Work at St.Elizabeth,I.U.and Logansport Memorial Industrial work includes Arconic,Cargill, Caterpillar, Evonik,Dana Corp,Subaru Indiana Automotive,Wabash,BHJ,Indiana Packers,Tyson,Anderson Facilities/ADM ,Zucrow GE and both Tate & Lyle plants. Commercial work includes Drury Inn,West Lafayette Chauncey Target , Westminster Village,Kirby Risk and the West Lafayette Aquatics and Wellness Center


Road and infrastructure projects include the River Walk Renovation and Main Street City Scape,


IBEW 668 hangs community banners for events / festivals, installs the downtown holiday lighting each season and is the Main sponsor for the Stars and Stripes Festival for Greater Lafayette Fireworks display


The local also supports Habitat for Humanity, United Way, Salvation Army, YWCA, Union Food Pantry, and the Almost Home Humane Society.


The 528 members of Local 668 serve Benton, Carroll, Cass, Fulton, Tippecanoe, and White counties. Benefits include overtime pay, family medical plans, optical and dental care, prescription plan, pensions, retirement plans, death benefits and a Health Reimbursement Account. The national association is the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
